Episode 5: It’s Summer!

Maybe TECHNICALLY it’s not, but in the Green Mountain State, we cherish every second of this time of year. This playlist started in one place and ended in a very different one. Think - gold sunlight through the newly green leaves of trees. Shorter one this time, but I like it.

Episode 4: Cold Water

Good grooves. Bluesy riffs. Gravelly vocals. Essentially, all the stuff you’d want. Mostly tunes over 50 years old, though not exclusively.

Episode #3: Kick Snare

I used to listen to a lot more rap and hip hop than I do these days, so I had a good time revisiting a bunch of old favorites. “What’s The Use” stands as one of my favorite tracks AND favorite bass lines of all time (shoutout Thundercat and RIP Mac Miller).

Episode #2: Wide Range

The second installment. I think we take a bit of a stranger journey on this one than the first FMRH. Some old favorites (“Pain”, “Nothing Gets Me High”, “Die Young”) as well as new discoveries (“Greener Pools”, “Long After Midnight”). Pretty big fan of the sequencing on this month’s episode. I’ve been informed that you have to make a free Tidal account to access, which is annoying. Perhaps I’ll change the medium of these, but it’s Tidal for now.

Episode #1: Pilot

This is the inaugural Foggy Mountain Radio Hour, presented pre-recorded from the hills of Starksboro, Vermont. A selection of tracks that portray some sort of overall arc of feeling over their 52 or so minutes. Let me know what you think.
